Description

What is Imagine AI?

Imagine AI is an AI agent that runs LinkedIn for B2B companies: it writes posts and graphics for your founders, team and company page, drafts comments, connection requests and messages, and shows which of the people engaging are in your CRM. It is made by Imagine AI Inc, a San Francisco company in Y Combinator’s Fall 2025 batch (see its YC profile). Co-founder Sky Yang announced version 2 on X on 29 October 2026, and the Launch YC post followed on 30 October. We checked everything below against Imagine AI’s own pages on 30 October 2026. We have not used the product.

Two things to know up front. Prices are not published: you get a quote on a demo call. And the agent works your LinkedIn account from “its own computer and browser”, which sits uneasily with LinkedIn’s User Agreement, as we explain below.

Best For: Series A and B B2B companies that want founders and staff posting on LinkedIn without hiring a content team

Key Features

Posts and on-brand graphics for the whole team

You ask the agent in Slack or in the Imagine app, and it drafts posts and graphics for each person and puts them on a shared calendar. It works from a shared “memory”: your website, deck, past posts, brand kit and a voice file for every teammate (Launch YC post).

Comments, connection requests and messages

Version 2 does more than write. The homepage says it “creates content, comments, messages and sends connection requests the way you would, from its own computer and browser”. Its example: “Twelve comments are in review… Approve them and I’ll post them in the morning.”

Engagers matched to your CRM

For each post, Imagine shows who engaged, whether they fit your ideal customer profile and which deal stage they are in. You connect HubSpot or another CRM, or give the agent an MCP server or API key (API docs).

A public LinkedIn benchmark

The free Imagine benchmark ranks companies’ LinkedIn performance against their industry. Imagine says it covers 30,000+ people at 1,178+ B2B companies, and the agent uses it to tell you what works in your space.

How Imagine AI Works

  1. Demo and quote. You book a demo, and Imagine scopes the profiles and service level.
  2. Kickoff. A one-hour call, about 10 real photos from each person posting, LinkedIn access, a CRM connection and a short form (pricing FAQ).
  3. Connect LinkedIn. Accounts connect through Unipile’s hosted login, so Imagine never sees the password (privacy policy).
  4. Review and approve. Drafts land in an approval queue. Approvals can sit with each person or with one owner, and nothing goes out without an OK.
  5. Report. A monthly report matches engagers to contacts, accounts and open deals in your CRM.

How Much Does Imagine AI Cost?

Imagine AI does not publish prices. Its pricing page shows “Custom Pricing” and says “Platform + profiles + service level = your quote”, scoped on a demo call. Its llms.txt file adds that pricing is per LinkedIn profile with unlimited teammates, and that “Usage is unlimited until next year”.

Stage What it covers (from the pricing page) Price
Start Founder-led: one or two profiles building a warm audience Quote on demo
Grow Team calendar for several voices, plus a weekly warm list matched to your CRM Quote on demo
Scale Programmes across several teams with a dedicated growth researcher Quote on demo

Every stage includes competitor benchmarking, white-glove onboarding and a shared Slack channel. The Launch YC offer (“50% off the first month and the setup fee waived” for YC founders) suggests monthly billing and a setup fee, but neither amount is published. Ask for both in writing.

Is It Safe to Automate LinkedIn With Imagine AI?

Automating LinkedIn actions can go against LinkedIn’s User Agreement. Section 8.2 of the User Agreement (effective 3 November 2025) says members must not “Use bots or other unauthorized automated methods to access the Services, add or download contacts, send or redirect messages, create, comment on, like, share, or re-share posts, or otherwise drive inauthentic engagement”. LinkedIn’s help page on prohibited software and extensions says it does not permit third-party software that can “automate activity on LinkedIn’s website”, and that members who use such tools “risk having their accounts restricted or shut down”.

Imagine says a person approves everything before it goes out, and it connects through Unipile rather than asking for your password. Those are sensible safeguards, but LinkedIn’s wording covers “unauthorized automated methods”, and Imagine has not published any LinkedIn partnership or authorisation. When a prospective user asked on X whether human approval makes this compliant with section 8.2, the question went unanswered in the launch thread. Treat account restriction as a real risk, and start with one profile that is not your most valuable.

Who Should Use Imagine AI?

  • Good fit: funded B2B startups that want several people posting consistently and can give a vendor brand files, photos, LinkedIn access and CRM access.
  • Good fit: founders who want a done-with-you programme with a Slack channel and reporting, not another tool to learn.
  • Poor fit: anyone who needs a published price, a free trial or a self-serve start.
  • Poor fit: teams that cannot accept any risk to their LinkedIn accounts, or that also need X, Instagram or TikTok.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • One agent covers posts, graphics, comments, connection requests and messages for a whole team.
  • Engagers are matched to your ideal customer profile and CRM deals, not just counted.
  • Everything waits in an approval queue, and LinkedIn connects through Unipile’s hosted login.
  • A free public benchmark and published case studies, such as Fondo’s.

Cons

  • No public pricing, no free trial and no self-serve signup.
  • Automated comments, connection requests and messages can conflict with LinkedIn’s User Agreement.
  • LinkedIn only for now.
  • Results figures are Imagine’s own, and its YC pages give different totals.

Imagine AI vs Alternatives

Most LinkedIn tools ask you to write, schedule and engage yourself. Taplio is a self-serve LinkedIn writing and scheduling tool. Extrovert is a LinkedIn agent for prospect engagement and outreach. PostNitro makes LinkedIn carousels from Claude and ChatGPT. Multi-network schedulers such as Postiz and Publora post to many channels but leave the writing to you. For a wider list, see our guide to the best AI social media agents in 2026 and our social media agent listings. Imagine stands out for whole-team coverage and CRM matching, and is the least transparent on price.

Getting Started

Book a demo at useimagine.ai and ask for the monthly price per profile, the setup fee, the minimum term and what happens to your data if you cancel. Check your company’s ranking on the free benchmark first. Then start with one profile, keep approvals with the person who owns the account, and turn on comments, connection requests and messages only after you have read LinkedIn’s rules. Our full Imagine AI review covers the claims we could and could not check.

FAQ

What is Imagine AI?
Imagine AI is an AI agent from Imagine AI Inc, a Y Combinator Fall 2025 company, that runs LinkedIn for B2B teams. It writes posts and on-brand graphics, drafts comments, connection requests and messages, and matches the people who engage to your CRM.

How much does Imagine AI cost?
Imagine AI does not publish prices. Its pricing page says your quote is platform plus profiles plus service level, set on a demo call, and every engagement includes the platform, white-glove onboarding and a shared Slack channel.

Can using Imagine AI get my LinkedIn account restricted?
It is a real risk. LinkedIn’s User Agreement (section 8.2) bans bots or other unauthorized automated methods that send messages, add contacts, or create, comment on, like or share posts, and LinkedIn’s help page says members who use such tools risk having their accounts restricted or shut down.

Does Imagine AI post without my approval?
Imagine AI says no. Its homepage says posts, comments, connection requests and messages wait for your OK, you can edit or discard them, and approved posts go out at their scheduled time.

How does Imagine AI connect to my LinkedIn account?
Its privacy policy says LinkedIn accounts connect through Unipile’s hosted login, so Imagine AI never sees your password. CRMs such as HubSpot connect through OAuth.

Can I try Imagine AI without a demo?
No. There is no self-serve signup or free trial. Onboarding is a one-hour kickoff, about 10 photos from each person posting, LinkedIn access, a CRM connection and a short form, and the first post ships in week one.

Does Imagine AI work on X or Instagram?
No. Imagine AI says it starts with LinkedIn and does not publish to X, Instagram, TikTok or other networks today.

Final Verdict

Imagine AI is a serious, YC-backed attempt to run a whole company’s LinkedIn from one agent, with useful CRM matching and an approval queue. But there is no public price, and its automated comments, connection requests and messages can conflict with LinkedIn’s User Agreement. Start small, on an account you can afford to have restricted.
