Is Hello Inbox Real? What We Checked

Hello Inbox was founded by CEO Hans Desjarlais, who is a top-rated deliverability specialist on Upwork. It reached number three on Product Hunt on 14 September 2026 with 283 upvotes. The company says more than 7,000 businesses and marketers have used it and that it has helped recover “3M+” in revenue; the site gives no currency for that figure, and we could not verify it. The site gives Toronto as its location, while LinkedIn says Montreal, so we describe it simply as Canadian.

What Hello Inbox Does

Email platforms send your messages, but they rarely tell you why a campaign went to spam. Hello Inbox fills that gap. It does not send email itself; it works alongside the platform you already use.

The AI Deliverability Expert

The AI expert uses retrieval-augmented generation and persistent memory, so it remembers your domains and past results. You can chat with it about a failed test and get specific advice, such as which DNS record to change, rather than generic tips.

Testing Before You Send

The Deliverability Test checks SPF, DKIM and DMARC records, blacklists and links. The Inbox Placement Test shows whether a message lands in the inbox or spam at Gmail, Outlook and Yahoo, which covers most consumer and business inboxes.

Content and List Hygiene

A Spam Word Checker flags risky phrases and can rewrite them with AI. An Image Alt Text Generator improves accessibility, and Email List Verification removes bad addresses before they damage your sender reputation.

Ongoing Monitoring and Warmup

DMARC Monitoring, Sender Profiles connected to Google Postmaster Tools and Deliverability Monitoring alerts keep watch over your domains. A Warmup Toolkit supports services such as Instantly, Lemwarm and InboxAlly.

Who Should Use Hello Inbox

  • Email marketers protecting open and click-through rates on campaigns.
  • Cold outreach and sales teams that need healthy domains and warmed inboxes.
  • Ecommerce brands that rely on newsletters and automated flows for sales.
  • Agencies managing deliverability for several clients, with white-label options on Enterprise.

If you send a monthly newsletter to a small, engaged list and have never had a problem, the free plan is probably enough.

How Much Does Hello Inbox Cost?

Plan Monthly Billed annually What you get
Starter Free Free Three tests, five AI chats and one domain
Pro $49/month $39/month More tests, AI chats and monitoring for growing senders
Business $129/month $103/month Five domains and five team members
Enterprise Custom Custom For agencies, including white-label options

Pricing taken from helloinbox.email/pricing on 29 October 2026, in US dollars. Paid plans include a seven-day free trial, and annual billing saves 20%.

Business is the first tier with more than one team member, so small teams sharing an account should budget for it.

Pros and Cons of Hello Inbox

Hello Inbox Alternatives

Hello Inbox is a deliverability layer, so most alternatives are complements rather than replacements. These tools on Digital Marketing Supermarket overlap with parts of what it does:

Tool What it does How it relates to Hello Inbox
Smartlead Cold email platform with unlimited mailboxes and warmup A sender; Hello Inbox can test and monitor its domains
Brew AI-native email platform with domain health scores and inbox placement tests Covers basic deliverability for opted-in email it sends
Migma AI AI email builder with inbox rendering checks Focuses on design and rendering rather than DNS and reputation

A Simple Deliverability Routine With Hello Inbox

If you are new to deliverability, the tool is most useful as part of a routine:

  • Once per domain: run the Deliverability Test and fix any SPF, DKIM or DMARC failures. Ask the AI expert to explain anything unclear.
  • Before big campaigns: run an Inbox Placement Test on the actual email and check the Spam Word Checker results.
  • Monthly: verify new list imports and review DMARC reports for unknown senders using your domain.
  • For cold email: warm new mailboxes before sending, and watch Postmaster sender profiles for reputation drops.

Who Should Not Use Hello Inbox

Hello Inbox is not an email service provider, so it will not replace Mailchimp, Klaviyo or a cold email platform. It also cannot fix a list that people never asked to join: if recipients mark your mail as spam, no DNS change will rescue your reputation. And if you only send transactional email through a well-managed provider, the provider’s own tools may be enough. The best fit is a team that sends regularly, has seen open rates fall or is setting up new domains for outreach, and wants a clear diagnosis plus ongoing monitoring at a modest monthly cost.

Our Verdict on Hello Inbox

Hello Inbox is a sensible addition for anyone whose revenue depends on emails being seen. The free plan lets you diagnose a problem today, and Pro at $49 a month is reasonable for a sender running regular campaigns or cold outreach. Agencies will want to compare Business and Enterprise carefully. Start with the free Deliverability Test on your main sending domain: if it finds a problem, you will know straight away whether the paid plan is worth it.
