Early on, our founders saw a vital need to connect public and private institutions to address local and national issues and advance civic life. Civic’s leadership began their careers working for the City of New York, where they pioneered the model for public/private partnerships, securing corporate funding to support free public concerts, citywide sports tournaments, large-scale holiday celebrations, playground programming and more for the 5-boroughs.

From our inception, we have championed Brand Citizenship as ‘must-have’ across marketing + communications campaigns. We’ve always maintained that businesses exist to serve all stakeholders, and companies who align their purpose + profit can most credibly be good brand citizens and elicit powerful IRL change.
