Attio review 2026: an AI-native CRM with a free plan, from £27 per user a month, scored 4.8 out of 5 (Digital Marketing Supermarket)

By Saj Ali · Last updated 3 Nov 2026

Attio is a real, well-funded CRM from London that lets you build your own data model and run AI agents, workflows and tools like ChatGPT and Claude on it, with a free plan and paid plans from £27 per user a month. The catches are credits that meter AI use, outreach features held back for Pro and non-refundable fees. We reviewed it from public pages on 2 and 3 November 2026, without using it. Our score is 4.8 out of 5: strong choice for start-up and scale-up teams.

TL;DR: our verdict on Attio

  • Verdict: 4.8/5, strong choice for start-up and scale-up teams. A flexible, AI-native CRM with agents and MCP on every plan, held back by credit-metered AI, Pro-only outreach features and non-refundable fees.
  • Price: Free for up to 3 seats. Plus £27 and Pro £59 per user a month, billed annually. 14-day Pro trial, no card.
  • Best for: Start-ups, scale-ups and RevOps teams who want to shape their own CRM and run AI on it.
  • Biggest risk: AI costs that grow with use, and an annual plan you cannot get refunded.

Is Attio legit? What we checked

Yes. The site footer reads “© 2026 Attio Ltd”. Attio’s services agreement, last updated May 2026, says you contract with Attio Limited, registered in England and Wales at 42 St John’s Square, London, unless you are a US customer who signed up on or after 5 November 2025, in which case it is Attio Inc. of Delaware. Customers outside the US are covered by the law of England and Wales.

The money is real too. On 26 August 2025 Attio announced a $52 million Series B led by GV (Google Ventures), with Redpoint Ventures, Balderton Capital, Point Nine and 01A, and said it had raised $116 million to date (Attio blog). Its co-founder and chief executive is Nicolas Sharp. Its X account, @attio, is a verified business account with 17,794 followers when we checked.

The product is moving fast. Attio’s changelog lists six releases on 29 October 2026 alone, including Activities, workflow updates, a new inbox and redesigned record pages, and the site banner says “The new architecture for agentic revenue is here”.

What Attio does

Attio calls itself “the CRM for agentic revenue” and “the only CRM with Universal Context™”. In plain terms:

  • A CRM you model yourself. Start with People and Companies, then add custom objects, attributes and relationships. Email and calendar sync fills in records, and Attio enriches companies and people automatically.
  • Ask Attio. A chat assistant that “follows your existing permissions”. You can approve, change or reject any suggestion, and it works in any language.
  • Custom agents. Custom Agents run one prompt across every record, on Claude, GPT or Gemini. The agent log shows what each run did and cost, and you can pause or replay it.
  • Web Agent. Researches the open web and writes an answer back with its sources and a confidence rating.
  • Workflows and sequences. Workflows run on every plan. Sequences for email outreach are on Pro and Enterprise.
  • Call Intelligence. Records Zoom, Google Meet and Teams calls, with transcripts in 100+ languages. Pro and Enterprise only.
  • MCP server and API. The MCP server connects ChatGPT, Claude and other MCP tools with OAuth sign-in. The API, webhooks and App SDK are on every plan.
Ask Attio page: Every question, answered. Every follow-up, sent. Every task, done. A prompt asks Attio to prepare me for my day

How much does Attio cost?

Attio charges per user per month, and annual billing saves 20%. Prices from Attio’s UK pricing page on 3 November 2026, with US dollars from the US page:

Plan Monthly Annual Credits included Main limits
Free £0 £0 250 workspace, 100 per seat 3 seats, 3 objects, 50,000 records, 200 emails a month, “Sent with Attio” on emails
Plus £34 ($44) £27 ($35) 1,500 workspace, 500 per seat 10 seats, 5 objects, 250,000 records, 1,000 emails a month
Pro £74 ($99) £59 ($79) 10,000 workspace, 1,000 per seat Unlimited seats, 12 objects, 1M records, sequences, Call Intelligence, 100 reports
Enterprise n/a Custom Custom workspace, 2,500 per seat Unlimited objects, SSO, SCIM, CSV export limits
Attio pricing: From zero to IPO. Free £0, Plus £27 and Pro £59 per user a month billed annually, Enterprise custom
Attio’s UK plans on 3 November 2026 (attio.com/pricing/gbp).

Credits are where costs can grow. Attio’s help centre says seat credits are used first for Ask Attio, then workspace credits, and that a “prep me for my next meeting” prompt costs about 10 to 20 credits, a daily briefing 30 to 50, and a prompt that finds customers and drafts emails 50 to 80. In workflows, triggers and logic are free, blocks that write data cost 1 credit, and AI and agent blocks are charged by usage. Extra workspace credits on Plus and above cost £70 a month for 5,000 (£55 billed annually), up to £445 for 50,000 (£360). Under the services agreement, unused add-on credits expire at the end of each term.

The good news: Attio offers a 14-day Pro trial with no credit card, and “up to 80% off for eligible startups”. The pricing page does not say whether prices include VAT, so check at checkout.

Terms and limits to know

  • Auto-renewal and no refunds. Plans renew for the same term unless you give at least 14 days’ written notice. Clause 8.8 says “all Fees are non-refundable” except where the agreement says otherwise. You can only move to a cheaper plan at the end of a term.
  • Price changes. Attio can change fees with 30 days’ notice, taking effect at your next renewal.
  • AI output. You own your output, but the agreement says it “may not be unique” and that AI features may produce “inaccuracies, hallucinations, biases, inconsistencies, or false information”. You must check it, and you must use AI features in line with the EU AI Act and other AI laws.
  • Enrichment data. Third-party data that Attio adds is for internal use inside Attio only. You must not download or export it, or use it to decide on anyone’s employment, credit, housing, insurance or similar.
  • Leaving. On termination, your data is available to download for 30 days.

Claims and numbers: what we could check

Claim Source What we found
“Trusted by 30,000+ customers” Attio homepage Attio’s own figure. Its llms.txt file says “over 80,000 startups”, and its August 2025 Series B post said 5,000 paying customers. These may count different things, but Attio does not explain the gap.
30M MCP tool calls a month, 2.6B API requests a month, 76k active customer agents, 15M emails synced a day Attio homepage Attio’s own usage figures. We could not check them. The MCP page shows “583k+” daily average MCP calls, which is about 17.5M over 30 days, not 30M, though the two may measure different periods.
$52M Series B led by GV; $116M raised Attio blog Confirmed on Attio’s blog, published August 2025.
“83% faster lead triage” (Granola), “25% revenue boost” (Passionfroot), “4X faster deals” (Taskrabbit) Attio customers page Vendor case studies. We did not see independent proof.
Plus from $29 and Pro from $69, and “All paid plans include a 14-day free trial” Attio’s llms.txt and G2 listing Out of date. The live US page shows $35 and $79 billed annually, and the trial is of Pro.
Plus includes up to 15 reports Pricing page Attio’s help centre says Plus can create up to 20 reports. A small conflict.
4.3 out of 5 on G2 G2 Confirmed: 4.3/5 from 600 reviews on 3 November 2026. Several recent reviews are labelled “Incentivized” and sourced from a G2 invite.

What we could not verify

  • How well Ask Attio and custom agents work on a real sales pipeline. We have not tested Attio hands-on.
  • Which customer number is right, and what each one counts.
  • Attio’s usage numbers for MCP calls, API requests, agents and synced emails.
  • The results in Attio’s case studies.
  • Whether UK prices include VAT. The pricing page does not say.
  • Typical monthly credit use for a team. It depends on your prompts, models and workflows.

What users are saying

Attio has 4.3 out of 5 from 600 reviews on G2, with 56% five-star and 35% four-star ratings when we checked. Reviewers praise the clean interface, the flexible data model and custom objects, automatic enrichment and the AI agents. One wrote that Attio “feels like a better fit for us compared to HubSpot, which was too expensive and heavy for our needs”.

The same complaints come up again and again. Several reviewers say reporting is “still maturing” or “limited” compared with older CRMs, that integrations are not as broad as HubSpot or Salesforce, and that the blank-canvas setup means “a real learning curve”. One noted that “pricing per seat can also add up quickly”. Keep in mind that several recent reviews are marked as incentivised G2 invites.

Who should use Attio, and who should not

  • Use it if you are a start-up or scale-up that wants to model its own sales process without a CRM consultant.
  • Use it if you want AI agents, workflows and MCP access to your CRM data on any plan.
  • Use it if your team is small enough for Free or Plus and you do not need sequences yet.
  • Avoid it if you need deep, custom reporting or a very wide integration catalogue today.
  • Avoid it if you need fixed, predictable AI costs or the option of a refund.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • Flexible data model with custom objects and relationships.
  • Ask Attio, AI agents, workflows, API and MCP on every plan, even Free.
  • Clear prices in pounds and dollars, a free plan and a no-card Pro trial.
  • A London company with UK law for non-US customers, strong backers and a busy changelog.

Cons

  • AI and workflow use is metered by credits, and add-on credits expire each term.
  • Sequences and call recording need Pro.
  • Fees are non-refundable and plans renew automatically.
  • Reporting and integrations lag the older CRMs, users say.

Attio alternatives

  • HubSpot: all-in-one CRM with marketing tools and a huge integration library.
  • Salesforce: the enterprise standard for complex sales teams.
  • Pipedrive: a simple, visual sales pipeline for small teams.
  • Close and Salesflare: CRMs built for small, busy sales teams.
  • Alta: AI SDR agents that integrate with Attio. See our Alta vs Extrovert comparison and the best AI SDR agents.

How to run a fair trial

  1. Start the 14-day Pro trial, so you can test sequences and call recording as well as the core CRM.
  2. Import a small, clean sample of real contacts and deals, not your whole database.
  3. Build one custom object and one pipeline that match how you actually sell.
  4. Run Ask Attio and one custom agent daily for a week, then check credit use under Billing, then Credits, then Usage.
  5. Build the reports your managers need most. This is the area reviewers criticise most.
  6. If you buy annually, note the renewal date and the 14-day notice period, as fees are non-refundable.

How we scored Attio

Every DMS review uses the same five criteria, each marked out of 5, and the overall score is a weighted average on the DMS 2026 scale, with features and evidence counting most. This is a desk review: we scored what the vendor publishes and what independent sources confirm, not a paid hands-on test.

Criterion Score Why
Features and depth 4.5/5 A flexible data model with custom objects, plus Ask Attio, custom agents (Claude, GPT or Gemini), Web Agent, workflows, sequences, call recording, API and an MCP server. Reporting is the weak spot users name most
Pricing transparency and value 3.5/5 Clear per-user prices in pounds and dollars, a real free plan and a 14-day Pro trial; but AI and workflows are metered by credits, sequences and call recording need Pro, and older Attio pages still show old prices
Evidence and credibility 5/5 A named London company, $116M raised, a public changelog, named case studies and 4.3/5 from 600 reviews on G2, many of them invited by G2
Risk and compliance 3.5/5 Published terms with UK law for non-US customers and 30 days to retrieve data; but fees are non-refundable, plans auto-renew, AI output carries no accuracy promise and enrichment data cannot be exported
Ease of getting started 4/5 Free plan, no-card Pro trial, imports from Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive and Zoho, and inbox sync that builds records; but the blank-canvas data model takes planning, as several reviewers say
Overall 4.8/5 Strong choice for start-up and scale-up teams

Our verdict on Attio

Attio is one of the most convincing modern CRMs we have looked at. It is flexible, it publishes clear prices in pounds, and it puts AI agents, workflows and an MCP server on every plan, backed by a London company with serious investors. It loses marks for credit-metered AI, outreach features held back for Pro, non-refundable fees and reporting that users say is still catching up. We score it 4.8 out of 5: strong choice for start-up and scale-up teams. See the Attio listing for a quick summary, or browse more AI marketing tools.

FAQs

Is Attio legit? Yes. Attio is run by Attio Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales with an office in London, and by Attio Inc. for some US customers. It raised a $52 million Series B led by GV in August 2025 and says it has raised $116 million in total. It has 4.3 out of 5 from 600 reviews on G2.

How much does Attio cost in the UK? Free is £0 for up to 3 seats. Plus is £34 per user a month, or £27 billed annually. Pro is £74 per user a month, or £59 billed annually. Enterprise is custom and billed annually. AI and workflows use credits, and extra credits start at £55 a month for 5,000 on annual billing.

Is Attio good for small teams? Yes, for most. The Free plan covers 3 seats and Plus covers up to 10, both with Ask Attio, AI agents, workflows and the API. The catch is that email sequences and call recording need Pro, and Free and Plus have monthly email sending limits.

Is Attio better than HubSpot? It depends on what you need. Attio is more flexible to model and builds AI agents and MCP into every plan. HubSpot has far more reviews, integrations and reporting depth. Several Attio reviewers on G2 say reporting and integrations are still catching up.

What are Attio credits? Credits pay for AI and workflow use. Each user gets seat credits for Ask Attio, and the workspace shares a monthly pool for workflows and AI. A meeting prep prompt costs about 10 to 20 credits. Workflow blocks that write data cost 1 credit each, and AI blocks vary.

Can I cancel Attio and get a refund? Plans renew automatically unless you give 14 days’ written notice before the end of the term. Attio’s services agreement says fees are non-refundable except where it says otherwise. If you leave, your data stays available to download for 30 days.

What are the best Attio alternatives? HubSpot or Salesforce for a large, all-round CRM, and Pipedrive, Close or Salesflare for a simpler sales pipeline. For AI agents that run outbound on top of a CRM, look at AI SDR tools such as Alta.
