I completed my degree in Communications at North-West University in 2015 with minors in English and Psychology.

During my studies, I was the Managing Editor of the university newspaper, Wapad. At the same time, I interned with the Marketing and Communications Manager of the Engineering faculty on campus, assisting her with writing press releases and various marketing copy; and helped keep the website up to date. I interned with an NGO in 2015, along with 4 other interns, where we conceptualised, planned, and presented new campaign ideas to a board. One was accepted and is now a national campaign in South Africa, called Help Hanna.

During 2016 I gained a great deal of experience as the only copywriter for a branding agency called Idea Power, where I wrote copy for various mediums, including magazine ads, storyboard scripts, Facebook ads, Google banner and Adwords ads, blog articles, social media, billboards, and websites for clients in various industries. I also proofread and edited assorted copy and documents.

During the latter part of 2016, I decided to branch out on my own and started my freelancing career on Upwork. I have since worked with a number of clients to fulfill various roles in a wide range of industries.
