Best AI SDR Agents in 2026: 4 Outbound Agents Compared

October 30, 2026 · 12 min read

Your pipeline looks healthy until the week it doesn’t. Your best people spend their mornings researching prospects instead of talking to them, quote requests from spring still have no second email, and the SDR you hired three months ago is only now hitting their stride. The best AI SDR agents promise to take that work off your plate: find the right people, research them, write in your voice, follow up on every channel and hand you the ones who want to talk. This guide shows which of the four AI SDR agents in our directory fits your situation, not just which has the longest feature list.

Every price and feature below was checked against the vendor’s own pages or our listing research on 29 October 2026. We have not used these products hands-on. Prices are in US dollars.

Who This Guide Is For

An AI SDR is only worth it if it fixes the bottleneck you actually have. Find yourself below, then jump to the agent that matches.

  • Solo founder doing your own outbound. You sell between building, so every hour counts. Care about: low set-up effort, a free trial, messages that sound like you, and approval before anything goes out under your name.
  • Early-stage start-up with no SDR yet. You need pipeline before you can justify a hire. Care about: predictable monthly cost, how many channels you get for the money, and whether a technical co-founder could self-host.
  • Scaling SDR team. Your reps spend too long on research and inbound leads wait too long for a reply. Care about: CRM integration, signal-based targeting, inbound speed-to-lead and how the agent hands over to humans.
  • Agency running outbound for clients. You manage many senders and many lists. Care about: multi-account support, per-client costs, data ownership and keeping each client’s domains and LinkedIn accounts safe.
  • RevOps or sales leader evaluating AI SDRs. You need a business case, not a demo high. Care about: approval controls, what is sent automatically, data sources, total cost and a pilot you can measure.

The Best AI SDR Agents in 2026, Reviewed by Use Case

1. Extrovert: Best for Founders Who Sell on LinkedIn

Extrovert homepage showing a suggested-for-today list of LinkedIn comments, one approved by your agent
Extrovert homepage showing a suggested-for-today list of LinkedIn comments, one approved by your agent. Screenshot taken by Digital Marketing Supermarket, October 2026.

Best for: solo founders, consultants and small B2B teams who want warm LinkedIn relationships rather than cold sequences.

Extrovert finds prospects on LinkedIn, either from a description of your ideal customer (Lead Finder) or from their activity, such as liking your post or commenting on a competitor (Intent Signals). Each day it gives you two short lists, comments and DMs, each with a reason such as ‘new role, follow up early’, and drafts them in your voice. You review in about 20 minutes a day, or let Claude, ChatGPT or another MCP client run it within permissions you set. It says more than 1,000 teams use it.

Use cases where it shines

  • The founder with 20 minutes before stand-up. You know your buyers are on LinkedIn but never find time to engage. Extrovert hands you today’s comments and DMs, already drafted, so you approve and get on with your day.
  • Warming up a target account before a first DM. You track the head of sales at a dream account, comment on their posts for a couple of weeks, and only then message, so the DM lands from someone they recognise.
  • Catching buyers who engage with a competitor. Intent Signals can surface people commenting on a competitor’s posts, giving you a reason to start a conversation while they are thinking about the problem.

Pricing: one plan at $49 per LinkedIn seat a month, with a 10-day free trial and no card. Each seat includes 250 tracked prospects, 1 topic and 300 credits a month. Annual billing gives two months free, and teammates without a LinkedIn account are free.

Pros Cons
Relationship-led, not spammy sequences
Approval-first, with agent autonomy you control
Cheapest published subscription here
LinkedIn only
Intent Signal prospects cost 25 credits or more each
Not built for high-volume cold campaigns

Watch out for: credit burn. 300 credits find 300 prospects through Lead Finder but only 12 through the cheapest Intent Signal, so budget for top-ups (from $29) if signals are your main source.

2. AgentSDR: Best Free, Self-Hosted AI SDR

AgentSDR homepage: reach, reply and close from a single workspace, open source and self-hosted
AgentSDR homepage: reach, reply and close from a single workspace, open source and self-hosted. Screenshot taken by Digital Marketing Supermarket, October 2026.

Best for: early-stage start-ups and agencies with technical skills who want multichannel outbound without seat or per-contact fees.

AgentSDR is an open-source workspace that runs email sequences from your own Google Workspace mailboxes, LinkedIn invites and follow-ups across several accounts, and WhatsApp messages and recorded calls. Its AI CRM classifies every reply (for example interested, not interested or meeting requested) and drafts an answer that waits for your approval. You host it on your own server with your own AI key through OpenRouter, so lead data stays in your database. There is a live demo with sample data and no sign-up.

Use cases where it shines

  • The start-up replacing a stack of tools. Instead of paying separately for enrichment, sequencing and a CRM, a technical co-founder deploys one workspace and pays only for hosting and AI usage.
  • An agency running outbound for several clients. No per-seat or per-contact fees means adding another client’s mailboxes and LinkedIn accounts does not add licence costs.
  • Buyers who answer on WhatsApp. If your market lives on WhatsApp, you can run message campaigns and recorded calls from your own number alongside email and LinkedIn, with every reply in one inbox.

Pricing: free under the MIT licence. You pay for your server, AI usage through OpenRouter, Unipile for LinkedIn and any other services you connect.

Pros Cons
Free, with no seat or contact fees
Lead data stays in your own database
Email, LinkedIn, WhatsApp and CRM in one place
Version 0.1 software
Needs technical skills to deploy and maintain
Deliverability and account safety are on you

Watch out for: set-up and upkeep. It launched in October 2026 as version 0.1, so plan engineering time, and stick to its built-in pacing (30 LinkedIn invites a day on a premium account, 5 on free).

3. OutreachGuy: Best for Reviving Leads You Already Have

OutreachGuy homepage: the money is already in your lead list, with an old quote request worked across email, LinkedIn and X. Screenshot taken by Digital Marketing Supermarket, October 2026.

Best for: agencies, service businesses and SaaS companies with a backlog of leads that never got a second message.

OutreachGuy works the leads already in your CRM. Drop in a CSV or connect HubSpot, and it researches each person’s website, posts and your history with them, then writes from your own Gmail, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Telegram, phone, X, Instagram and Reddit. A reply on one channel changes the plan, an opt-out stops every channel, it never sends at weekends unless you allow it, and it asks you before booking any meeting. You can set it up from Claude or ChatGPT by pasting a setup prompt.

Use cases where it shines

  • Quote requests that got a PDF and nothing else. An agency hands over months of unanswered quotes, and the agent opens with real context, such as the project they asked about in May.
  • Demos that went quiet. A SaaS team picks up every ‘let me think about it’ on email, then LinkedIn, without a rep writing a single chaser.
  • Past clients and event badge scans. A service business re-engages customers from a year ago, or an events team finally contacts the people it met at the stand.

Pricing: Plus $79, Pro $199 and Max $479 a month on yearly billing ($99, $249 and $599 monthly), covering about 200, 600 and 2,000 leads a month. A quoted managed service sets up inboxes, domains and numbers for you. The 7-day trial includes 1,000 credits and needs a card.

Pros Cons
Targets revenue already in your pipeline
Widest channel coverage here, from your own accounts
Daily caps, final opt-outs and meeting approval
Launched 29 October 2026, so no track record
Trial needs a card
Not for net-new prospecting at volume

Watch out for: sending from personal accounts. Set conservative daily limits per channel, because your own LinkedIn, WhatsApp and email reputations are on the line. The vendor itself says it is not for sending thousands of identical emails a day.

4. Alta: Best All-in-One Platform for B2B Sales Teams

Alta homepage: the AI platform built for go-to-market teams, introducing its agents Katie, Alex and Luna
Alta homepage: the AI platform built for go-to-market teams, introducing its agents Katie, Alex and Luna. Screenshot taken by Digital Marketing Supermarket, October 2026.

Best for: funded B2B sales teams and revenue leaders who want outbound, inbound qualification and pipeline revival run as one managed system.

Alta runs three named agents that share one company brain. Katie does outbound across email, LinkedIn and calls, Alex qualifies inbound leads through AI calls and chat and books ready buyers into your calendar, and Luna watches your CRM and 50+ data sources for buying signals, such as a champion moving to a new company. It integrates with Salesforce, HubSpot, Attio, Clay and more, and every customer gets a human account manager. Alta raised a $25M Series A in July 2026 and names Snowflake, Deel and Atlassian among more than 300 customers.

Use cases where it shines

  • Inbound leads going cold overnight. A demo request arrives at 9pm; Alex asks qualifying questions straight away and routes a fit buyer to a rep’s calendar, with reminders to cut no-shows.
  • Following a champion to a new company. Luna spots that a past buyer has joined a new employer, and Katie starts outreach while the relationship is still warm.
  • Reviving closed-lost deals. A sales leader points the agents at last year’s lost opportunities and re-engages them with signal-based personalisation.

Pricing: usage-based and quoted on request. The plans page asks for team size, from 1 to 10 people upwards, and promises a quote within hours. CRM integration and white-glove onboarding are included.

Pros Cons
Outbound, inbound and revival in one system
Strong funding and large customer base
Human account manager backs up the agents
No public pricing
Heavier than a solo founder needs
Takes time to learn your market

Watch out for: buying blind. Without a published price, ask for the quote in writing and agree pilot success criteria before you sign anything.

AI SDR Agents Compared Side by Side

OutreachGuy $79 a month yearly or $99 monthly; 7-day trial with card Email, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Telegram, phone, X, Instagram, Reddit Daily caps per channel, opt-outs on every channel, asks before booking meetings Reviving dormant leads

What Does a Human SDR Cost by Comparison?

The Bridge Group’s 2025 SDR research, based on 351 mostly North American B2B companies, puts median SDR on-target earnings at $80,000 ($55,000 base plus $25,000 variable). It also found an average ramp time of three months, average tenure of 1.9 years, median annual attrition of 40% and only 60% of SDRs hitting quota. In the UK, Glassdoor puts average total pay for an SDR at £39,786 a year.

Against that, Extrovert costs $588 a seat a year on monthly billing, and OutreachGuy runs from $948 a year on Plus to $5,748 on Max. Those figures leave out a person’s employer costs, tools and management time, and the software leaves out the judgement, calls and relationship-building a good SDR brings. The honest framing is not ‘replace your SDR’ but ‘give one person the research and follow-up capacity of several’, or get outbound started before you can justify a hire.

How to Run a 30-Day AI SDR Pilot

  • Week 0: pick one job. New LinkedIn pipeline, inbound speed-to-lead or reviving old leads. One agent, one job.
  • Set a baseline. Write down last month’s replies, meetings booked and time spent on prospecting for that job.
  • Protect your accounts. Use warmed-up inboxes or a secondary domain for email, and keep LinkedIn and WhatsApp volumes inside the vendor’s suggested limits.
  • Load your voice. Give the agent your offer, real examples of your writing and the objections you hear most.
  • Weeks 1 and 2: approve everything. Read every draft, edit freely and note how often you change it.
  • Weeks 3 and 4: loosen the reins. Only if the drafts are consistently good, allow routine actions while keeping first messages and meetings for review.
  • Day 30: decide on numbers. Compare replies, meetings and hours saved with your baseline, then scale, switch agents or stop.

FAQs

What is the best AI SDR agent for a small business?

It depends on where your leads are. If you sell through LinkedIn, Extrovert is the simplest start at $49 a month with a free trial. If you already have a list of leads nobody followed up, OutreachGuy is built for exactly that. If you have technical skills and want to avoid subscriptions, AgentSDR is free to licence.

Can an AI SDR replace a human SDR?

It can take on research, drafting and follow-ups, which is a large share of the job. All four agents here still expect people to approve messages, handle live conversations and close. Most teams get the best results by using an AI SDR to multiply one person’s capacity rather than to remove people entirely.

How much does an AI SDR cost?

In this group, from nothing (AgentSDR, plus your own running costs) to $49 per seat a month (Extrovert), $79 to $479 a month on yearly billing (OutreachGuy) and quoted usage-based pricing (Alta).

Will an AI SDR get my LinkedIn account or email domain banned?

Any outbound tool can hurt your sender reputation if you push volume too hard. Choose agents with daily limits and approval steps, warm up new inboxes, use a secondary domain for cold email and stay within each platform’s sensible daily volumes.

Do AI SDR agents send messages without my approval?

Not by default in this group. Extrovert and AgentSDR hold drafts for your review, OutreachGuy asks before booking meetings and lets you cap each channel, and Alta keeps messaging approval with your team. Check each setting before connecting real accounts.

How long before an AI SDR produces results?

Give it at least a 30-day pilot on one clearly defined job, with a baseline to compare against. Alta itself says its system improves as outcomes feed back in, so judge early results on reply quality as much as volume.
